Event full description
PVS IN BLOOM project has triggered more than 19 MW of installed solar energy on marginal areas in Europe. The project is funded by Intelligent Energy Programme of the EC. The main objective of the project was to promote the requalification and re-gain of economic and social value of terrains that can not be subject to any economic or social use through the installation of small and medium sized ground photovoltaic plants (PVPPs). The project involved directly Italy, Spain, Greece, Poland, Austria and Slovakia.
The conferences which is to be held in Budapest, 22nd September, will promote project effective realizations and the most important solutions for combining renewable energy sources with a strategic approach to the management of areas characterized by intrinsic, induced or latent marginality (terrains that are no longer able to answer positively to investments or that have exhausted their primary and exclusive function). This project approach encourages both the investments and significant increase of green energy production in Europe. It’s worth mentioning that for the future capitalization of know-how gained via PVS IN BLOOM, relevant national policies and regional strategies shall be in place for advancing electricity production based on Renewable Energy Sources in the framework of investments envisaging eco-sustainable processes.
The keynote speakers represent main actors of the RE industry and public sector representatives. The focus will be on the development of an advanced knowledge for specialized experts in the requalification of areas in latent marginality through RES, witnessing the realization of real plants in various marginalized areas in Europe and the formulation of new regulations promoting investments following the PVs in BLOOM approach, as well as institutional representatives which will describe the policy and market scenario in different EU countries (Italy, Hungary, Spain, etc.).
Each partner will be further acting as a national information point for provision of advice and assistance to actors interested in energy project employing methods of PVs in Bloom Project. Best practices and know-how have been multiplied in four manuals and guidance as follows:
Strategic Vision Document, Administrative Handbook, Technical Handbook, and Business Guide.
