    Description:

The International Congress Solar Summits Freiburg takes place from 13 to 15 October 2010. This year's core topic focuses on: "Solar Mobility - Batteries, Fuel Cells and Biofuels for Sustainable Electromobility".

The event thus addresses one of the most burning issues of our time: the reduction of CO2 emissions and in particular curbing the exhaust gases of vehicles. Worldwide, billions are being invested in the development of propulsion technologies, battery systems and storage technologies.

The International Congress Solar Summits Freiburg offers a view on the different economic and scientific developments on every aspect of solar mobility. A major topic of discussion will also be the political framework conditions for electric mobility as well as the requirements on the municipal infrastructure. Moreover, Solar Summit will explore the subjects of hydrogen fuel cells, fuel cell systems and biogenic substances as well as vehicle engineering.

The Solar Summit is once again under the chairmanship of Professor Eicke R. Weber, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) and Dr. Christopher Hebling, Head of Department Electric Mobility. The ISE will present a maximum of connecting factors for the application of renewable energies and, looking at electric mobility in particular, does research in the fields of network integration and supply with renewable energies.
