    Description:

The III Brazilian Congress on Solar Energy (CBENS III) aims to promote the exchange of information and experience between universities, research institutes, companies, government agencies, officials of the electricity sector and civil associations. The event consists of lectures, presentations of technical and scientific papers, workshops, courses and technological exhibition.
The areas covered include all forms of direct or indirect conversion of solar energy, that is thermal and photovoltaic conversion of solar energy, wind energy, energetic use of biomass, small hydroelectric, energy from tidal and wave, fuel cells, among other topics.
The focus is science and technology, but there will be emphasis on discussions related to energy policies in Brazil and other Latin American countries, regarding the economic feasibility of the technologies discussed and the environmental and social impacts arising from the use (and non use) of renewable energy sources.
This will allow greater interaction among researchers, politicians, investors and professionals working in the electricity sector, directly or indirectly involved in the question of the use of renewable energy.
This interaction will provide gains in knowledge, quality, competitiveness and productivity and, therefore, it is expected to bring a great development for the sector in Brazil, especially in the North Region, and Latin America.
